Various Happenstances of Seth

Sometimes, I wonder why people even send out spam email. I mean, I understand the advertisements. I understand the advertisements that spell Viagra as Vi@gra to avoid filters. And I even understand the emails that put in a few random words at the bottom (feldspar promenade toothpaste) to pass some content filter. But there's really a point where the message no longer serves any advertising purpose. And that point, I believe, is easily reached by the following email which I received last week:

Okay, so technically, Viagra* is in the subject line. But the whole email talks about the trials of Captain Blood, and death - neither of which are things that you'd want occurring if you were using Viagra**, which I have no need for nor will I be impelled to purchase it simply because I've read a bad misspelling of the brand name in the subject line. However, I'm almost intrigued to read more of the story about Captain Blood.

She protested that sex had nothing to do with melee and death, but I pointed out that he was also discussing may lay, and another friend added that it was relevant to at least a little death.
